Station 25 and ALS 11-1 were dispatched for a second call in the district, Possible Dwelling Fire at 8245 Natures Drive in Pocono Country Place at 15:21 hours. 25-8-1 was first en route and advised heavy smoke in the area. Stations 32 (Mt. Pocono FD) and 33 (Pocono Summit FD) were then dispatched for a full response along with Station 47 (Tobyhanna Army Depot FD) for their R.I.T. 25-8-1 then arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the residence and a report of possible entrapted person inside. 25-8, 8-2, 1-2, 4-4, 2-6, 1-1, and 1-5 responded along with Stations 34 (Pocono Twp. FD) and 22 (Barrett Twp. FD). The fire fully consumed the residence before units were able to control it. Later it was confirmed that there was no one in the home at the time of the fire. Due to the extensive radiant heat of the fire the next door house also caught fire for a short time but did not recieve much damage. Units stayed on scene to wet down hot spots in the debris along with the assistance of a back-hoe from Pocono Country Place Maintenance. The PA State Fire Marshall was called to the scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All Station 25 Units were then clear at 22:00 hours.
