04/19/09 Station 25 was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at Rite-Aid in the Carriage Square Shopping Plaza off of Route 196 at 20:41 hours. Then just minutes later, multiple reports were given of heavy smoke and fire coming from the building were relayed from dispatch. Station 25 was then realerted for additional manpower at 20:47. 25-7, 8, 8-2, 1-2, 1-1, 2-6, 4-4, 6-12, and 1-5 responded along with Stations 32 (Mt. Pocono FD), 33 (Pocono Summit FD), 47 (Tobyhanna Army Depot. FD), and 34 (Pocono Twp. FD). Units arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the rear of the Bobby's Carribean Store and fire inside. Units made entry and knocked down the fire quickly. No fire spread to any other store but due to the connected roof, Rite-Aid and Rent-a-Center suffered some smoke damage. The PA State Fire Marshall was called to the scene along with Pocono Mt. Regional Police and the cause of the fire is under investigation. All Station 25 units were then clear at 23:40 hours. 042009101
